Motherhood is one a clear path to compassion.  In our home, we have said “no” to the 7th pet, yes to a bit of freedom, ditched the x-box and made sure they tend to their school work and provide them with care.  We have done what every parent is supposed to do, open doors, allowing them to discover themselves and the world in which they live and provide them with the opportunity to participate in community, to find self-worth in the benefiting of others.
