Governor Jerry Brown stated once, “Plastics, in all forms- Straws, Bottles, Packaging, The Bags, Etc- are all choking our Planet, We must find ways to Reduce and Eventually Eliminate single-use plastics products”.
It’s generally accepted that the very first “plastic” was Parkesine, invented in 1856 by Alexander Parkes of Birmingham, UK
In our modern lives, the use of plastic has become a part of our daily needs because of its optimum utilization.
Actually it’s their low cost, ease of manufacture, versatility, and imperiousness to water, these are used in a various multiple products of different scale, including paper clips and spacecraft. They have prevailed over traditional materials, such as wood, stone,, leather, metal and glass in some products previously left to natural materials.
In our developed economies, about one third of plastic is used in packaging and roughly the same in buildings in applications such as piping or plumbing .Other uses include automobiles (up to 20% plastic), furniture, and toys.In the developing world, the applications of plastic may differ—42% of India’s consumption is used in packaging.
When we think of Plastics, the first thing that comes to our minds are the plastics bags, which are now considered one of the major causes of global pollution. Because of which people in urban cities have started to educate themselves on the aftermath of plastic consumption and have slowly but steadily move from plastic to eco-friendly products like jute and cloth bags.
We here at Crowdera are indeed honored to help to fight against the issue of “Why plastics”.By initiating a beautiful work by Diya and Shashank
Diya and Shashank at “Why Plastic” are helping small shop owners.
By connecting them to manufacturers of eco friendly bags and providing these bags at a subsidized cost to them to provide an incentive for them to stop using plastic bag.
The Eco-friendly bags are much more expensive than the plastic bags, which is where you, as donors come in.
Donate, and do your bit to reduce plastic and save the environment.
