Power of Education

Education is one of the most powerful weapons that anyone could ever have.

Especially for those who live in the street, their only exit from that misery is education!

India has an estimated one hundred thousand or more street children in each of the following cities: New Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Mainly because of family conflict, they come to live on the streets and take on the full responsibilities of caring for themselves, including working to provide for and protect themselves.

Just imagine how much willingness that street child probably have inside of him/her. I heard an old man once said, “Tough situations will make you tougher“. If he/she could only find the right support, the right push towards this intellectual weapon what miracles this child will achieve…

Did you know that less than half of India’s children between the ages 6 and 14 go to school. A little over one-third of all children who enroll in grade one reach grade eight. At least 35 million children aged 6 – 14 years do not attend school. 53% of girls in the age group of 5 to 9 years are illiterate.

This shouldn’t be the case though, our kids are the warriors of tomorrow and our duty is to provide them with the knowledge and education that they deserve…Even street children have the right to study!

Here’s a chance to support such children who are not able to take admission in schools

We here at Crowdera support Umang Foundation Trust which have been working in serving the less privileged kids with education, mentoring and employability skills
