2019 at a glance: Crowdera
Bidding adieu can never be so joyous, especially when it is to a year full of excitement, learning, and growth. 2019 ended with a bang at the Giving Economy Changemaker Summit concluding a quarter-long Giving Economy festival that started with the giving celebration of Daan Utsav to ending with conferring the GEC Awards to changemakers.
While we are excited for one of the most awaited decade starting 2020, here is a brief summary of many accomplishments, announcements, associations Crowdera & its community experienced in 2019:
The year started by welcoming the lovely new team members Bethun Bhowmik, ex-Techstars, ex-Ola National Head Operations joined us as VP growth operations, Aditi Gupta, a Design Thinker and a Corporate Giving Enthusiast herself joined Crowdera as Associate Director Sales and, Srishti Srivastava, a philanthropist at heart, ex-category leader from Unacademy, is now taking care of our online communities. Vishnu Lambe, Rishab Sahu, and Sfurti Shinde also joined the family and are playing a huge role in Crowdera growth.
In 2019, we partnered with Hubspot, Nasscom and Google Cloud as our strategic and growth partners.
Various Startup Growth Workshops were organized in association with Hubspot and ASW across 4 major Indian cities, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.
“Innovation Parv” hosted in association with Crowdera was the first-ever kind of an event which was organized by – Nagpur Municipal Corporation, supported by-Government of Maharashtra and executed by – Indian Council for Technical Research and Development. The pioneer knowledge partners were Centre for Creativity & Innovation and the Nagpur University.
Our NoPay Startups workshops at IIMB & KDKCE gave a chance to the young entrepreneurs who presented their ideas to a bench of the jury. The selected startups with their NPV ideas converted their ideation into a startup architecture within 3 hours.
We celebrated the Giving Economy Festival by aligning with Daan Utsav, Giving Tuesday and recognized as well as rewarded the changemakers in the society for their impact aligned with UNSDGs.
1.Participation in Daan Utsav:
Aligned with the United Nations SDGs of “No Poverty” and “Zero Hunger” we installed the Crowdera dropboxes across many cities in October to collect things and give away to the one who needed it the most. By creating a buzz about Daanutsav, we encouraged people to come together and be a part of the change and many stood by us because they believed in our cause. These donation drives were conducted from October to December, when we distributed the contributions to the beneficiaries we realized the importance of holding this activity. And, nevertheless, we also decided to do it every year to spread joy.
2. The GEC Summit:
We also hosted The GEC Summit in Delhi at Ashoka University and in Nagpur at the VIA auditorium. The GEC Summit included GEC Talks, free of cost fundraising workshops for the nonprofits, Panel discussions on various social causes to bring a sustainable change.
3. The GEC Awards
To create a more realistic vision of the Giving Economy through the Giving Economy Festival, we recognized the changemakers aka everyone, who is trying to make this world a better place. The GEC award started with the sole aim of supporting and encouraging those who work relentlessly to create a long-lasting change aligned with UNSDGs.
Through these awards, we also created awareness about the SDGs among those who work for a change but often don’t know how their work is aligned with a global cause. This was indeed a much-needed step to motivate the unsung heroes of our society.
